Rangers Flying Club Welcomes You!

If you’re looking for an affordable way to fly, the next step after renting, or as a rusty pilot getting back into General Aviation at Flying Cloud / KFCM, we’re delighted you found us!

Since 1958, the Rangers are a group of flyers who share the joy of the skies, a passionate love for flying and the realization that this special privilege is a gift of freedom that only occurs in the air! Our goal is simple; assemble a group of like-minded individuals to build camaraderie and share stories, experience, knowledge, and safe flying practices.

You will not find a friendlier or more accessible flying club in the Eden Prairie, MN area and since this is an all-volunteer club, we welcome and invite Members to become involved with club activities!

Join the Rangers Flying Club today and as an active Member you’ll be able to fly high quality, well maintained aircraft at an economical cost. Plus, you’ll be part of a great group that’s dedicated to keeping GA flying safe, fun, and affordable.

Our Members include pilots with various skill levels; new and very experienced Private Pilots, Commercial Pilots, Certified Flight Instructors, and Airline Transport Pilots. Experience levels range from less than 200 hours to over 10,000 hours. Our FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFII), a club member, is available for primary training, aircraft checkouts, new certificates/ratings, complex/high performance endorsements, and recurrent training.

The Rangers Flying Club is operated to provide its Members with low cost flying, safety training and continuing pilot education. All aircraft are maintained by FAA certified maintenance personnel to assure prompt and qualified service. A Club “Maintenance Officer” is selected to assure that any discrepancies reported by Club pilots are quickly corrected. Scheduling of Club airplanes is easy with our secure online system that is available 24/7 so Members are assured of getting immediate status / availability information about the aircraft anytime they wish to fly. You will find that, if you plan to fly two and a half to three hours or more a month, a Club Membership is more economical than renting.

Our spacious hangar includes a furnished (and heated) wardroom with a flight planning PC and Wi-Fi and Members can drive to the hangar for easy access and secure parking.

The Club has regular monthly meetings at 7 PM on the third Thursday of each month at our Flying Cloud hangar located on Charlie Lane; security access to Flying Cloud Airport is required and we’ll be happy to give you directions to the hangar.

In addition to monthly meetings, the Club also has occasional social programs such as fly-ins, hanger cookouts, and wash / wax parties and Members frequently invite other Members to join them for pancake fly-ins, $100 hamburger runs, as safety pilots during instrument practice, or travel to aviation events.

New Members are welcome and we are accepting applications!
